It says on average. But it doesn’t say whether its per bombs in a single day or averaged over every day and it doesn’t say if its 40 years or what. Because it’s a kinda low effort dumb meme. Good way to frame things but needs to cite a source or something.
it seems a bit large but just operation iraqi freedom accounts for like 1.5 years at 46/day so its not implausible lol. Once you start including proxies it almost could be lowballing it
How was this calculated? Did it count our proxies? While I’m sure the number is high, that seems a little large and I want to look into it.
https://progressive.org/latest/usa-bombs-drop-benjamin-davies-220112/ I suspect this is the source (or another source quoting #s from the same 2022 pentagon report)
it’s a 20 year average
Its insane that its a 20 year average
yeah! and not including people they sell weapons to, just forces under active US command, like wtf
Awesome. Thank you!

https://progressive.org/latest/usa-bombs-drop-benjamin-davies-220112/ it’s a 20 year average, including both bombs and missile strikes, and may include coalition partner bombings when they are acting under US command
