It was somehow even better than the manga. They did an amazing job with this, and now my eyes are read and my nose is all stuffy.
It’s probably one of the best anime movies I’ve watched and you really should see this if you haven’t already.

It’s good! Apparently the animation director was exactly the guy Fujimoto wanted, and put in a ridiculous amount of effort that shows through in the final product. Saw somewhere he did around half of the keyframes.
