i just love doing wish fulfillment “what if x state became communist and i control it” runs
that and some of the mods are fun
All I’m saying is that I’ve never failed as Early Yugoslavia.
I like playing as a big colonial power like france and releaseing all the colonies after converting to communism so now theres a massive communist BLOC to aid the USSR lol.
yeah it can actually make for a more fun and balanced game! because after you defeat the fascists and maybe the British you then go after the final boss: the U.S.
Ya the US is always the final boss lol
unless you go commie U.S. which i will only do if i arrange for the entire world to go fascist and somewhat ally together. usually excluding the Soviet Union. so then it just becomes two continental allies vs the World
still though it’s too easy like that lol especially with the default U.S. communist revolution being so easy to pull off
One thing i hate about the game tho is how all the non Soviet nations have like one of their commie paths being to alienate the Soviets. Like why on earth would a newly communist nation want to not be allied with the single communist super power lol. And like as peru the focus tree is better if u dont join comintern.
on display as usual
but i get the “game mechanic” option of having AI states take diverging communist paths to create more factions to engage with. but yeah this is not the era of nation states splitting. Sino-Soviet split is far away and at the time the Soviets were THE model to emulate, excluding obviously the marginalized Trotskyiests
Especially when the Allies faction led by the UK doesnt dissolve post-ww2 so literally any war with a colonial state has you getting attacked by every fucking country on earth immediately.
Uh, if you do, UK is one of the harder starter nations. A lot to manage
