From a living animated fedora named “ToucheGoodSir:”

What percentage of the populace do you think knows what the transgender flag looks like? :|

Noo, it is an honest question. I’m a digital native, been to a decent amount of gay bars, even worked as security for pride in my city this year. Have probably seen the flag, have never had it come up that “yep this is the flag for the trans community”. Outside of Hamburgerland where transgenderism has become so politicized, huge press X to doubt people know what that flag is. Most folks on the planet are Indian, Chinese, or in an Islamic country of some sort. Now do tell, dear blakeus12. How do all of those cultures treat LGBTQ+ people :| if it was a question of how many people in the US recognized the flag, different story.

    do tell, dear blakeus12

But on Lemmy I’m fairly certain the demographic is at least 80% male in the same way there’s an over-representation of Linux users. If you assume a user is male you’re going to be right the vast majority of the time. It’s not sexism it’s statistically a reasonable guess.

I didn’t say or imply anything about behavior. Just that merely having the assumption is not sexist. I didn’t even say people should have that assumption, just that it’s statistically reasonable which it is. Your comment here does more to chase people away than what I said. Now I see why a lot of people block hexbear.

Just stop using gender specific pronouns at all. Makes things much simpler

Know what else makes things much simpler?

That Chaos user catching a ban makes my fucking day. I almost said something to them this morning but figured it wasn’t worth another wall of text from them trying to wax poetic about how displaying your pronouns is somehow a security risk.

Lmao I’ve interacted with plenty of hexbear users but this comment takes the cake as one of the most unhinged, off the wall comments I’ve ever read.

Congrats for being on lemmy for years, but that has nothing to do with anything said here, nor does pronoun preference.

It’s no wonder you all need to travel in packs. Without your fellow cult-like cosplayers manipulating the discussion with your blatant falsehoods and fabrications, you’d find zero support and be all alone and on display as the charlatans that you are.

When the enemy is both too strong and too weak, traveling in packs and also all alone!

I think it’s related to that “anon” shit on chan boards. It’s supposedly some magic mask that permits everything from bigotry and snuff/gore clips to hate crimes (except arbitrary rules like “pastel colored cartoon horses forbidden!”)

Evergreen lib trap. I am pleased to inform all Hexbears that you must adopt one additional set of neopronouns in order to properly boil the blood of every Lemmitor you encounter. The hivemind commands!

I don’t honestly understand the rage with pronouns, I would’ve made an apology and go by the proper pronouns shown if I was that reddit-logo er/lemmitor and move on instead of raging about it. Or just not use a gendered noun but what do I know anymore?

I cannot describe the joy i would feel from tearing these chuds apart one by one. Bigots have sacrificed their humanity and should be given the same amount of respect and care that you would give to a disembodied tumor
