This is about a month old, but this distro is now released. It’s a completely independent distro from China.

Its not based on Debian or Ubuntu. It uses the apt package manager but everything else is built by them.
Ah. I should know better given that jailbroken iOS uses APT too and it’s obviously very not Debian-based
