Remember, EM POC only!

One year of Palestinian resistance… hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle

I want liberation for all of the marginalized who still remain chained up by their oppressors.

That aside, of course, I’m hoping for some happy EM POC vibes this week!

I’m trying this new approach to my issues called the “thug that shit out” approach. Let’s see how it goes!

today is the final day of navratri!! every year i go to the mandir to do garba but this year i was sick and now i have work so i haven’t been able to go, but i get to go today. im so excited

when i think about my indian-ness or hindu-ness, this is the only festival i really think of since its the only one i actively participate in where i feel like i belong. also its still hard trying to describe what garba is to white people lol

      Congrats, Aen,

You finally get to connect with your heritage!

      A little note

you know, it’s funny, there’s like 1 billion of Hindus in this world, yet they’re not as vocal of their beliefs, compared to Christians or Muslims, who make a similar population…

yay!! tbh i feel like i squandered all the opportunities i was given when i was a teenager to connect with my heritage more, and now its a lot harder to do it. like i had the opportunity to learn gujarati but i mostly messed around in class and now i regret it

        also

i think hinduism is less of a monolith which makes it harder to be vocal about it, i suppose. and when they are vocal, it’s in india and very related to islamophobia. at least in the uk where i live, hindus are either indifferent about preaching about their religion, but when they are super religious, they channel that preachy energy towards islamophobia

Heh, a lot of migrants like me and you do… thankfully, I’ve began to pick up more on my native tongue, from my parents, but as for connection to my nation, I don’t feel it nor do I find it much interesting…

(hint: it’s the other nation infamous for codeswitching between English and the national language)
