I tried to find a video of this on youtube, which I could not. I did however find a video of him making the same mistake 3 weeks ago in Pennsylvania, this time confusing it with North Carolina 🙄

It sounds like in this case hes not mistaking, just talking about an unrelated town in a different state as a talking point to bring up immigration?

Yeah, and he’s bringing up situations in different parts of the country as well, all to make whatever his point is (I guess immigration bad?).

In the speech, he said it was a 2000% increase in immigration in a small town. So if that town has something like 2 immigrants in a decade (probably a pretty realistic number), then that means there were probably a handful of immigrants in that year (2000% of 0.2 is 4).

So if it’s true, it’s likely wildly misleading.

they are so obnoxious, my grandfather’s phone is filled to the brim with them, I have never seen a campaign send as many fucking spam texts as his campaign does it is ridiculous, my grandfather is hard blue and they are just relentless with the “Trump demands your support now!” and “DONATE TO THE CAUSE, DON’T LET THE LEFTIST HARRIS RUIN DEMOCRACY” it’s so fucking annoying, you can’t even opt out as they just blatantly ignore it. He gets more red based texts then blue lmao

Todd who previously had my phone number signed up for a lot of texts, and got his (now my) number into a ton of databases. I’ve been able to watch his cross country move and general financial improvement through these spam texts. At first it was a house in Phoenix Arizona, and some sketchy stuff related to his arrest, but looks like he moved back to the same state I live in and has a cheaper place that isn’t seeing as insane of price inflation. I’ve also seen fewer debt related texts for him and lately I’ve been getting some with his new lady friend’s name on them. Good for Todd. Hopefully he eventually learns to stop giving out my number

I mean theoretically if they deport all non-citizens that would free up a lot of housing, as well as a lot of jobs and generally send the country into an economic death spiral thanks to the sudden and continued population decline

Deporting all the non-citizens would send us into a literal death spiral thanks to the fact that they pick all the vegetables, cut all the meat, and cook all the food in restaurants. For bonus points we would starve to death behind our unkept lawns, but at least we’d have plenty to drink from the water pouring through our leaking roofs.

“Many people call it Pennsylvania okay. Some call it Arizona, but many call it Pennsylvania too. Most say they don’t even know what it’s called but the ones who do, they call it Pennsylvania, okay? and you know that, and I know that and we know that, which is why nuclear, because my uncle, John trump, okay, and this guy was rough okay? Rough and tough, and BIG. okay big tears in his eyes and he says, “ummm Mr trump sir… Ummm ummm”. But you can’t do that anymore right, they don’t let you, but that had, they called it Wharton business school. And you need to know business, you need to know DEALS okay, and they say, I mean you hear this, you hear many people saying this, that, “trump does deals”. And the greats say it, you see orban, and they call him strong okay, I’m strong, she’s not strong okay, golf it’s heavy, you can’t just do golf if you’re a lady and you know that. But yeah, lady marmalade was what me and Jeff called this one girl, and she was… I mean, you could do it in those days, and they’d let you and you did it and we all did it and it was great. And that’s why okay, that’s and you see the shirts and they say it, MAGA okay, MAGA, and it says “make an elephant grapes again” and that’s really it. But the whole thing is just a hoax okay, and Hunter Biden did Hillary emails and it’s, of course it is right? And it’s sleepy joe ON STEROIDS we call it, and where is he now? You don’t see him anymore, it’s like he’s not even running for president, but that’s why I think Tim Waltz is gonna be the future vice president.”

After November it should become less. It’s unfortunate that American politics are so meme-worthy right now, but when one of the candidates is a raging sociopathic senile narcissist, it’s going to be hard to avoid.

Yeah, I’m not exhaling until like February… There’s no guarantee that winning this election is actually winning this election…

There’s a very real possibly that Trump loses the popular vote, loses the electoral college vote, and still “wins” because shithead propagandized Karens filled important election official positions in states that really matter… They’ll refuse to certify and create a condition where the votes go to states as representation, giving GOP the boost they need since even though land can’t vote, they have more “red” land than “us.”

        Blinders? Really??

It doesn’t matter what a candidate says at some rally somewhere, what matters is who wins the election.

Following politics right now isn’t productive, because it’s just a bunch of mud-slinging both directions. In this case, this “gaffe” isn’t a gaffe, it’s just him talking about events in different parts of the country to make a broader point about immigration. The discourse we have shouldn’t be about trying to make Trump look like he has dementia (doesn’t seem like it?), but showing how his policies are absolutely ridiculous. In this case, he said a small town in Pennsylvania had a 2000% increase in immigration, which sounds like instead of having 1 person come to town, they had 20. Or more likely, instead of having an average of 1 person every 10 years, they had 2 people in one year. We should be calling out that BS, not making up stories about him forgetting where he is, that’s not productive at all.

Maybe have a bi-weekly post about current poll numbers and any interesting policy statements. But boosting posts that take statements out of context to pat our own backs is stupid.
