Literally a few minutes ago, the pakistani parliament deposed Imran Khan as prime minister of Pakistan. This comes after the Supreme Court, under pressure from the US and the pakistani military (which has a long history of supporting US coups), repealed the convocation of elections by the president and ignored the blatant evidence of US interference in this vote of no confidence (politicians from Khans party were bribed to vote against him, also the US literally sent Khan a letter threatening a vote of no confidence if he didnt sanction Russia). The US just did a coup at Chinas doorstep. This isnt good.

Same, i hope the people of Pakistan protest this coup. Hopefully theyll be able to overthrow the new US puppet government and reinstate Khan to power like the bolivian people did after the 2019 coup. Still, the pakistani military is still a big problem, since they are pure US lapdogs and will happily stage a military coup and shoot at protesters if the US asks them to. I agree, the opposition are US puppets. This is especially painful to see with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) because of its based legacy. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would struggle in his grave if he saw what PPP has become nowadays.

Agree, the Pakistan military pretending to be “not involved” is laughable. I guess they will go back to making tons of money off overpriced US weapons deals and pretending they can’t do anything about US drones lynching Pakistani children when even Iran is able to stop them. But every institution there is ripe with corruption, from the assembly to the courts to the election commission, etc.

And yeah, the hope I have is this is just like Bolivia after the 2019 coup. But that is up to the people now.
