you miss understand me: the russians aren’t taking over nor colonizing africa; they’re simply destabilizing/weakening their european political enemies; while simultaneously giving their mercenary forces free training to create a battle hardened pool of conscript-able citizens; and also creating goodwill in africa; among other things.
it’s sort of like the russian’s version of china’s belt and road initiatives; except with guns and soldiers instead of financing and construction. and so far they’ve treated the african people well compared to the french; in fact the africans literally invited the russians in to unalive all of their “rebels”
also: “vassal states” was referring to british empire’s vassal states in africa; the united states prefers to fuck over latin america more than africa.
