Most thumbnails are useless if I’m trying to decide if I should click them and there’s any text in them.

Do you mean larger thumbnails or are they appearing fuzzy?
I think there’s a few different layouts you can choose in boost.
But if the icon is fuzzy that may be governed by the lemmy instance you’re using.
I have no idea how, but the resolution on my thumbnails increased dramatically shortly after posting this. They’ve been unreadable for months and now I can read text before clicking
Oh how odd. If it happens again try clearing the cache in the app.
By default the app loads low resolution thumbnails when using mobile data, and higher resolution on wifi. To always load high resolution thumbnails, disable data saver options on “Settings-Data and storage”
