Bluey is amazing, warm, funny, clever, just perfect. Any kids show that can tell the story of human evolutionin, while using it as a metaphor for children growing up is pretty special. (I think that episode is called Flat Pack) And also, if you can access iPlayer (BBC), Hey Duggie is brilliant, silly, funny, great design and sweet. Also Puffin Rock (Netflix) is like a warm, gentle blanket - but sneaks in educational nature content, as does Octonaughts (iPlayer / Netflix), which is also excellent.

    I think it’s actually only season 3C 😭

Which is fantastic and has great episodes but is still missing about 10 episodes from the Australian content. But I’m still psyched!!

Most kids TV is just mindless repetitive garbage. Bluey is actually just genuinely, good, well-written TV. I’ve heard people say that it’s not really a kid’s show that parents like to watch, it’s a parent show that kids also like to watch.

Mostly it’s very well written. Funny, sweet, educational for both kids and parents. The humor isn’t tacked on to keep kids’ attention; it’s woven into the story and lesson of each episode. Bluey is one of the few shows I enjoy watching with my kids, and it’s by far my favorite.

I haven’t watched it much, but my wife really likes it. My advice is simply to avoid Caillou, unless you want your kids to be bratty, whiny, and possibly bald.

Oof I have a hard time with Miss Rachel … those songs drive me nuts. Mercifully my child agrees with me so far.

Agreed that Bluey is fricking awesome.
