I burnt my fingers last night which prompted me to yell some very very bad words followed by DO NOT COME INTO THE KITCHEN. WE ARE NOT EATING TONIGHT and I’m not even a yeller.

They’re still red today but atleast the swelling has gone down and nothing beer o clock can’t fix.

I tried to put the harness on Ted.

I survived without being mauled but it was close. The harness is not on him.

Love rainy mornings that clear up before lunch. Something very refreshing about it.

Just waiting for my neighbour to start watering his lawn now…

Eldest minipeeler accidentally kicked Miniest full in the face while sparring last night. He was mortified and ran to his room upset; she thought he was going for a high kick and basically ducked straight into it. She’s ok after a little blood nose but I keep telling them to knock it off, “starts in laughter ends in tears” kind of thing, someone will get hurt, not enough room in a small crowded living room etc. I’m only their mother, what do I know‽ My siblings were from my parents previous marriages and almost adults by the time I was born, so I’m not used to the mucking around casual violence of children growing up together, and sometimes feel emotionally ill-equipt to parent it

weeee, 2 weeks of break finally.

Also finally figured out a few things with my car, Somehow I ended up with a leak thanks to a plastic bag being stuck in my back boot and water seeped in via that and made a giant pool where my spare type compartment was.

Discovered it while I was at work and furiously got some containers to scoop as much of the water out.

When I got home I paper toweled and dried everything as much as possible and lifted the compartment panel which will hopefully air dry what little is left but finally now I can rest easy know where that mysterious slushing sound of water was coming from whenever I stopped at a set of traffic lights.

Ok, I’m tired now and need food!

Just saw yet another accident. Ute got inpatient waiting behind a truck going straight so tried to drive down the wrong side of the road to get to the right turn lane and clipped the side of the truck. Low speed, so minor and no injuries, but it did jumpscare me lol. Then he nearly reversed into us.

I’ve seriously seen more car crashes in the last 6 months than I have in my entire 16.5 years of existence before the last 6 months

I decided to venture back to IKEA just for the funnies. Apparently if you become family with the IKEA you get 50% off the restaurant on Fridays, so they taught me how to do that. Then I saw they give you discounts on containers so I was like I may as well buy one while I’m here. Then when I was checking out a couple of IKEA people came up to me and asked if I scanned the container.

So uhh, TIL (the hard way) at IKEA you need to scan and pay for containers and their lids. The lids do not come with the containers

Had to keep it real with a Vietnamese teenage boy and inform him that Koalas are not naturally cuddly and in fact can be quite vicious and scratch you. Only Koalas kept in captivity will tolerate at best human contact.

It’s bright and sunny here. But I slipped on the stairs because they were wet and I didn’t realise because of all the sun, so I believe you

Ok so I was going to do classic movie + pizza night tonight but I’m really not feeling very hungry. I haven’t really eaten much today either. I did have a plate of Sweden meatballs from IKEA (pretty sure it would have been illegal not to), but that’s really all I’ve eaten today. And watching the godfather without pizza just doesn’t feel right.

I might just watch more prisoner. I’m about half way through the 600 episodes

Nah. It’s a must see Aussie viewing.

Spoiler Alert: Have you see the bit when Queen Bea sizzles the baby killer Lyn Warner’s hands in the ironing press?

It was kinda funny how in the first episode they cut to the theme song right after a woman stabbed her husband. I guess he won’t be giving her roses any time soon

Hey you know what you have to watch next? All the old Countdown shows. I reckon you’d love that! Every aussie and international act was on Countdown back in the day.
