It probably relates to your age. When I grew up there were still newspapers (and dinosaurs) and you probably ran across a small horoscope section somewhere in there (especially on or near the comics page), so for me seeing the dates was virtually unavoidable. But I haven’t run across a random horoscope in over 20 years, so if you’re born after the millennium I’m sure it was much less prominent in your life.

More likely that finding someone in the west competent enough to do calligraphy is a lot more uncommon, and if for people who never see the characters they all look exotic, so the basic font is good enough for them. At the very least the tat in this pic doesn’t seem to be fucked up (mirrored, missing radicals, etc) or using the fake font to “mimic” the latin alphabet.

I somehow ended up with a fujifilm that had a slot that took an SD card but would scratch it up and corrupt it within a few times using it, or you could use an xd card instead. What’s an xd card I hear you ask? Oh, only tech that existed for approximately 5 years and died the same year I bought the camera.

Yep, I wandered into TDT as a new user and got into a discussion with a bunch of hexies all telling me how NK was way better than the US. The only reason I couldn’t see how much more propagandized US citizens were than the N Koreans was because I’d been so thoroughly indoctrinated.

It’s been over a year now and I’m still waiting for anyone in that sub to move to NK, which is apparently a really cool and chill place.
