That would have been better, I had no games, and needed to handle IT support tickets as well as man the phones…
Probably 36 hours, I worked alternating 12h shifts in an irregular schedule, I had worked a night shift, and before I left, my teamleader pulled me aside for a talk about my performance not being good enough.
That made it impossible to sleep and I spent my time cleaning my apartment until I got back to work in the evening again.
At the end of my second shift I took a few calls from Australia and as I am doing my best to support them I can feel myself starting to fall asleep in the middle of speaking.
I don’t recommend staying awake for 36h straight.
Oh, and teamleader?
Don’t have these talks when the person is between two night shifts, the bright days already make it harder to sleep!
The best light I have actually had to use during a power cut is this:

I was cleaning my walk in closet and the power went out, I was in the zone and needed to keep going to get it done, so I grabbed one of my two lights and kept going.
The Route Of All Evil?
One important thing to check up on before you start is weather your ISP permits hosting servers at home to not.
Any port you open in your router will quickly be found and you WILL get attacked, this is automated and often called the background noise of the internet.
Your IP WILL show up on sites like Shodan, and depending on your ISP they may also find it. You need to read up on what your ISP permits you to do with their internet connection.
Normally it is chill, as long as you don’t cause issues for the ISP they don’t really care, but if your service starts attracting traffic, attack will increase and so might the issues your ISP see.
I would have zero worry of living next to a boring, well run nuclear powerplant
I have made similar comparisons before.
I want an exciting government as much as I want an exciting nuclear powerplant.
A decade or so ago, I messed around with Linux on my laptop, it was my main computer and I was distro hopping yo see what was out there.
I had my /home on a different partition and it worked well, until I left a USB hard drive plugged in…
It was my main music drive and I accidentaly picked that one to be erased…
I lost 6000+ songs…
I have thought about showing off my gigantic single player creative mode Minecraft map through a live stream for years, I spent most of my free time over a decade of manually just building huge, huge structures.
And pretending to show it off to a live stream, talking about it and explaining it makes it easier to remember what/why/how I built stuff…
I posted a link to the Wikipedia article about it, but yeah it is a culturally significant drink over Christmas, there is no organized boycott of Coca Cola, but I suspect that people enjoy the fact that Coca Cola tanks their sales in Sweden during christmas.
There are several versions of Julmust, there is one company making the syrup, selling it to drinks manufacturers, who all tweaks it to their preference.
The most common/standard version of Julmust is “Apotekarnes Julmust”, though “Nygårda Julmust” has expanded a lot, there is one version that I didn’t enjoy when I was younger, but is my favourite these days, “Zeunerts Julmust”.
The taste of Apotekarners Julmust is quite hard to describe, the texture isn’t as harsh as Coke, it is less sweet, and more fruity, it is a more adult taste than Coke, dryer…
The Zeunerts version is quite odd for the uninitiated, it has a darker taste when compared to Apotekarnes, with a weird aftertaste of coffee. When I first had it, I didn’t like it at all, but these days I stock up on it.
Time for a yearly reminder that Coca-Cola sales are about to plummet in Sweden.
Every year Coca-Cola sales drop by about 50% in Sweden over christmas as Swedes buy Julmust instead.
I have already stocked up with 12 glorious bottles of Zeunerts Julmust giving me 6 liters, I live alone so this is plenty.
Ah, so they are doing horseshoe theory in real life?
Sad that the nazi escaped, glad to hear that there seem to be no lasting dammage to the victim
Nah, you don’t just call it “beer”, give it a butler’s name, and if you can’t think of any name, use this guide:
Yeah, I know I just thought it would be a dun thought experiment
That is a nice photo, without you I would not have seen it, it has meaning.
Keep taking photos, it is nice to have and look back and see either your good memories, or sometimes you need bad memories to see how far you have come.
Using TCP for video streaming would be horrible at best, but probably actually unusable.
This is due to the retransmissions of lost packets, which would not work well, or even just break up the stream.
Same goes for TCP and multiplayer games.
Just imagine Biden watching PewDiePie…
Obama seems like a guy who’d watch Calum, Peter Dibble, and Wendover Productions, combined with other channels as well.
GWB jr probably watch war documentaries, with somw general interest documentaries scattered in his watch history.
Clinton seems like he would enjoy music performances and travel videos.
GWB sr, no idea…
Raegan, interviews with actors, republicans and millitary men, he probably enjoys the PeninsulaSrsVideos channel.
Carter, if he was younger, would be making science/educational videos, but probably enjoy good science/history content, he’d probably be a fan of Calum, Peter Dibble and Wendover Productions.
No, just a thin client
