My friend in fediversing - you are the one who made a comment with a claim people have asked you to expand on or back up and you have utterly failed at that repeatedly.
You could have just never commented in the first place and you wouldn’t be whining right now.
I think the people who grew up a bit later may feel this more keenly than some of us olds who used to have to use the yellow pages.
But thst doesn’t happen when they have raised the minimum wage in other places. Why do they think that?
If you are quoting a word or short phrase you use this form to make it quicker and easier for the listener to understand.
If you quote a long section, saying “quote, <long quote>, unquote.” is common and accepted.
✋ Hi, person here who bought 2020 but refuses to buy 2024 because they didn’t deliver on half their promises for 2020, including that it would be the last sim they sold.
Maybe they were suprised this many people actually signed up for their next level bullshit. 🤷♂️
Hey, I switched to linux, too.
My personal way is to needle my buddies every time they complain about windows. 🤷♂️😅
As an MS2020 user, what you are describing is normal for the sim.
I just stopped playing it.
Might check out X-Plane at some point, I think they’ve made a lot of progress on their visuals.
We know they don’t care. 🤷♂️
We care, that’s why it’s being discussed.
No thanks. Bought 2020 back when MS said they wouldn’t release another flight sim and instead would run it like an online service.
They also told me they would have multicrew working in 2020 among a whole host of other undelivered promises.
Have fun, those of you who haven’t been burned yet.
Or … maybe the datacenter shouldn’t use so much power to produce something of extremely questionable worth to our species. 🤷♂️
Which is a good fucking thing. What’s the first rule of the fediverse? We don’t talk about the fediverse.
Like watching people argue fanfic canon in here. 😅
I like to believe this, too, but then I look around.
Giant houses, giant trucks, luxury goods, motorsport toys, boats, guns… the people backing this stuff today are way better off than their parents were. 🤷♂️
For $100M/yr why not start your own coffee subsidiary?
But modern Linux is easier to use than modern windows, so that last point doesn’t really work.
Modern Linux runs just about any windows app, including most games. It also supports web browsers which can access Teams, etc.
It seems like maybe the reason is more inertial than based on factors a well run business should consider.
