Another short one, so a short highlight only :'D
Original content like holo no graffiti and music videos gains traction on platforms like X (Twitter) and YouTube. What advancements have COVER made to improve these animations and videos?
Tanigo: Currently, COVER USA does not plan to have in-house content creators. Instead, we’re interested in collaborating with North American creators and companies to produce music, animation, and games. We’ve evolved our content by partnering with outside creators, rather than relying solely on in-house production.
I’d say a targeted rainy day fund probably still qualifies as a “rainy day fund”, but I suppose the wording choice could have been clearer.
I do find it funny (though perhaps understandable) that so many of the investments are in pretty (ethically) shit companies because they align with the financial objective of making the most money. It also means that, seemingly, the Future Fund has used its shareholder vote against the interests of Australians on company climate policy.
Also TIL we’re a Tencent investor.
The person you were replying to was most likely being sarcastic, but thanks for taking the time to reassure them anyway!
Yeah but I don’t watch NBA or MLB but I do at least know some of the teams. Somehow being in the “games sphere” isn’t enough to have ever heard of any of them - maybe us in the fedi crowd are just a demographic mismatch 😅
Couple highlights:
You’re now one of the Daisenpais of Hololive EN. How does it feel to watch the branch grow and evolve over the years?
Kiara: I do feel a bit like a grandmother or aunt now who has settled down a bit, maybe a bit exhausted here and there. Looking at the new kids with all their energy, I feel like I can’t keep up all the time. But, it’s exciting to see our branch grow and thrive, and I hope it will continue to do so! Myth really didn’t expect any success in the beginning, so seeing the explosion in the beginning and the good times now as well, I am very proud of our accomplishments — Myth’s, and EN’s as a whole.
Myth’s 4th anniversary has been a bittersweet moment for many fans. As a long time fan of idols — where saying goodbye is a natural part of the fandom — do you have any words of encouragement?
Kiara: Well, I guess the good thing is that Ame can always show up again for bigger projects. It certainly won’t be super often, but there is this hope that she will still show us her smile every now and then. Amelia Watson will forever be here, and the time we spent with her will always be a great memory. Just like any other memory you made with the rest of us, too! Just because a good time has ended, it doesn’t diminish its greatness. Let’s look back on the fun memories.
There’s also an interesting section talking about her finding her “music niche” within EN, but you should actually read the interview :P
Just so we’re clear, I’m talking strictly about her real name, not about being Ame.
Yeah we’re on the same page, it’s just natural for me at this point to refer to her by the name(s) I’m most familiar with, but I really mean the person behind it in this context.
I don’t think you’re wrong to want to be cautious about it, absent of an unambiguous okaying of name-sharing or a first-hand name drop by the person themselves (I’m thinking of an AmaLee / Monarch situation). The lack of that – but with the basically implicit name-drop – puts it in a bit of a grey area and it’s hard to follow her preferences given it’s not clear what they are.
Usually when uncertain, caution is the more polite approach, but the information she gave also (to me) sort of limits how much she (or any person) could reasonably expect others to not “out her” with it. At least that’s kind of the vibe I got ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lastly, I disagree that “dropping hints” is good enough reason to spread her name publicly - if she doesn’t say it on stream it’s only fair to keep it to yourself. You said it’s about talent’s choice then post personal info she deliberately chose to omit, why?
I know in Calli/Dice’s case she’s gone on record previously saying she doesn’t care if people see her face / know who she is. Despite that, she still doesn’t go around mentioning the link explicitly under either alias (as far as I’m aware, at least), and still wanted to keep the two separated even when talking as Dice. Whether that’s just for the sake of the stream not being disrupted, just for the viewer’s sake (kayfabe / compartmentalization), or a weak anti-harassment / anti-“anti” thing, or something else entirely I don’t know.
Given how blasé Ame/Dooby (not just calling her Ame will take some getting used to lol) was about dropping the info about her past professional experience etc, it may be that she doesn’t really care if people know but still wants to keep some element of separation nonetheless like Calli/Dice seems to. And if that’s the case it seems like it’s okay to mention it selectively if it’s relevant - it would be difficult to discuss this topic fully without being able to refer to each talent’s other work outside of holo.
I regret to inform you that a billionaire stole your arm to help pay for their next mansion / yacht / social media site.
This is from a couple weeks ago but I felt it was notable.
Second-hand commentary trickling in from artists / riggers etc on Elon Musk’s blog seem to suggest that the problems didn’t really seem malicious in nature, but the scale of it is still pretty nuts.
Usada Casino is now open! Several minigames have been added.
One step closer to YAGOO destroying the world economy via physical holo-themed degenerate casinos 😎
BAE
[Unratted the rat]
To be honest when I originally saw her skill names the first time, it did seem strange the degree they played into the rat theme. But now removing it all also feels a bit weird now that I got used to it lol, idk.
Reverse Stamp
Effect has been changed.
RIP in piss
edit: the shop has new A-chan / office art too.
Yeah it’s perfectly reasonable to be jealous of Ina’s superior squishy hair.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but are there roughly 89 active hololive affiliated talents? How does COVER organize so many distinct individuals across many different subgroups?
TANIGO: So we have around 65 talent managers who literally and figuratively speak their language. We have Japanese speakers, we have English speakers, and we also have Indonesian speakers. That being said, I still do not think that our support for our English talents is enough, so I hope to see more improvement in that area. Now that we have the United States covered with Max Kim as our Overseas Brand Partnership Director, we hope that we can offer more support to our English talents, and we’re looking into ways that we can best utilize this resource.
So about a 2:3 ratio of managers to talents right now, which is interesting.
Interview’s kinda short - only has a handful of questions, but at least the responses aren’t just one-liners.
The VA really nailed Gura here. The gruff “I’m fucking Gawr Gura bitch” is indistinguishable from the real thing.
It’s a pretty short interview, so instead of a quote here’s a link (which I assume is riddled with tracking) to the cover on all of its various platforms:

FSR 3.1 (specifically 3.1, not 3.0) added an optional decoupling of the frame generation and the upscaling, but yeah that would still need first party support from the game developer. I should edit my comment to explicitly mention the frame gen possibility, didn’t realize that was something people were using this for!
I had kind of expected them to have set up individual accounts on holoplus (at least mirrors of talent’s posts) but I guess not. Still, I guess this is better than them clinging to Xitter, and expecting them to have set up Misskey (would’ve been more on-brand than Mastodon) would’ve been a bit much - as fun as it is to imagine </3
