Now I’m unsure and can’t check coz I’m not at home near my pc. But it seems to still work. I just login so rarely (because i never logout and the pc is always on)

It isn’t, but keepassxc e.g. still works perfectly fine. Yet, SDA was very helpful for a looong time.

I never force myself. If it sucks, I’ll ditch it asap. But just because i would love the old combat, i also know it will never ever come back like this. I can also enjoy a more action-oriented combat. I just don’t prefer it when given the choice 😊

Andromeda was ok in that regard. I will give it a shot in some many months when all is patched out and there may even be some mods (oh yes please)

Thanks for the details, but that sounds… Generic. I really hoped for it to have them pimping up the programmable combat. But i see why that might not be as commercially successful as it’s probably more niche.

Dude, I’m retired for 3 decades and still would need more time and had to prioritise hobbies. I work voluntarily with abused people, but not because I’m bored but because someone needs to. Besides that i love gaming, coding, traveling, cars, boats, going on daily tours with wifey, reading, music, watching star trek…

But I’ve seen people retire and getting bored to death a week later. I always found that sooo tragically sad, like they were born to be worker-ants and without work there’s nothing left worth living in their lifes.

But yes, the best job is one you actually want to do and are not forced to do.

I already did somewhere in my 20s like 3 decades ago.

But today, with maybe “just” one good academic salary, the minimum rent, no car and saving nost of everything? Difficult. Especially if you maybe wanna live while waiting for retirement. Maybe even have a car or travel.

And if you want a great retirement, you need Hobbies and hobbies cost money. Considering that mayve the government-paid retirement is probably gone or reeeeaaally bad in another 30yrs…you gotta save a looooot AND invest it furiously but safely. Which is work too.

I’m a very tall wardrobe with a resting bitch face syndrom that is also nocturnal. I learned a long time ago to just slow down when behind women and never to speed up. Or just change sides or so.

It pisses me off to constantly being seen as a violent rape-ape instead of a person, but imagining being a woman (or whomever else is frightened by me) in such a situation makes my worries seem more irrelevant.

Controller yes. They suck (for me) for nearly everything. But gaming on a 240" screen? Hard to beat… I do that on the couch with mouse/keyboard. Just a bit less precise than at the desk

I made a tool for pausing every game (except online games, obviously). There are some free ones that do that, even on steam. If that’s what you mean?

If pausing the whole pc á la standby is what you mean, then you could simply try hibernating (maybe after pausing like above). Most games actually can be resumed afterwards. Pc is totally off.

But yes, that’s probably the only thing a switch (wifey has one, hence i know) can do great. Besides total portability…
