Seconding Zippers, such an old school and intense experience. Speaking of old school, I got to ride a Roll o Plane for the first time recently at Knoebels and that was super fun too, and surprisingly intense.

I think Screaming Swings in general would be my 2nd favorite. I’m just always annoyed by how short the ride cycles are!

That’s awesome! It somehow never occurred to me to keep the park maps, but that makes so much sense as a collection and they already look great on your wall.

Any shirts you’re particularly fond of?

Yeah the compactness plus the variety of designs/colors makes for a great display! I do have bags full of the pin backs sitting in a drawer and hope I never lose them.

Sizing, and huge variances in quality as well. I usually buy shirts when I go to concerts but you never know how long it’s going to hold up for. Also amusement park/roller coaster shirts tend to have ugly designs IMO.

I have been but I wasn’t collecting pins then. Guess I gotta get back lol

This will really help fill in the area by Voyage and Thunderbird. I was at the park for the first time recently and was really surprised by just how much undeveloped space they have between those two coasters.

Anyway I think the family boomerang is a solid addition here as it seems right now there is a big intensity gap between their sole family coaster and the other thrill coasters.

I did not go to the water park as I’m not usually into them either. It did seem bustling though. Guess I’ll have to check it out next time!

How was Beech Bend? I’ve heard good things about their GCI.

Same for me, I was terrified of coasters as a kid and I have a very clear memory of being on a family trip to Florida, and my mom offering to take me on Gwazi and Dueling Dragons. Of course I refused and made her ride by herself.

It took many years later on a high school field trip to SFoT, succumbing to peer pressure to get on Titan, so I didn’t look like a coward, to get over the fear. Now as an enthusiast I’ve somewhat redeemed myself by getting back to Tampa and riding Iron Gwazi, but I have yet to make it back to IoA and Dueling Dragons is long gone anyway. One of my biggest regrets!

That is what Selim has been claiming he would focus on since the start but so far it’s been all talk. I’m lucky to live somewhat near Fiesta Texas which has the benefit of being run by an incredible park president, but outside of that park everything feels as cheap as ever.

Nice! Raven was by far my biggest disappointment for missing on my trip. You definitely did it right by giving Holiday World a full day, it’s a small park but so chock full of atmosphere.
