After two strange incidents last week, will we see a controversy free weekend? Irelands to lose at this stage, will anyone upset them?

Ireland vs Wales

A bit of steam has run out of this fixture in recent years but it is often a classic. Ireland looking for the Bonus Point win, and likely to get it

Scotland vs England

An ascendant England vs an aggrieved Scotland. Should be closest this week, but plenty writing off England. Prematurely I’ll add, the blitz defense of England will be hard to counter for Scotland

France vs Italy

France with a get out of jail card spent will be looking for a solid victory here. Italy will be desperate for anything

I think we have to acknowledge that even though there have been some close games, the quality of rugby in this year’s 6 Nations is poor compared to recent years. The Scotland-England game today seemed mostly made up of hoisting high kicks in hopes of creating an error rather than anything creative. This is taking nothing away from van der Merwe’s individual contribution. Even Ireland who were obviously better than Wales struggled for nearly 30 minutes after half time. We need better rugby!

Also shout-out to the French fan last week who ordered 150 jaegerbombs for everyone in the bar after the game the other week.

Going to Murrayfield today but I’ve got a bad feeling about it. Maybe not over being at the French game there the other week yet.

Nursing a hangover today but on reflection the atmosphere was a bit more edgy in the stadium than usual. I think the Calcutta Cup is starting to bring in Scottish fans who don’t really watch rugby.

There were some blokes behind me shouting “offside!” at everything no matter what was actually happening on the pitch. At least they should be shouting “off-feet!” at every ruck like the rest of us!!

The chanting was more football style at points too… idk maybe I’m being a gatekeepy snob griping about new fans in the crowd.

It’s the later kickoff. Folk start drinking too early and are wankered by 5. And the offside crowd blatently don’t watch anything other than the six nations. The Millenium Stadium has an alcohol free section, I think time for Murrayfield too

france are pish. That is all.

Don’t even know who the next in line is at fly half. Given recent selections probably Ramos.

I dont’t even know who is next in line at full…

Italy still just in it. Could well upgrade to a red too. France not looking amazing, but still all over Italy
