Given that your new mod labels anything left of center right as trolling, this is a terrible idea, not to mention the other reasons that have been mentioned.

Why? Because you’re the biggest troll here. If you’re scared of someone being added as a mod, it’s almost certainly because you’re scared that you might get punished for your crap

Why? Because you’re the biggest troll here.

Just somebody disagreeing with you doesn’t make them a troll.

If you’re scared of someone being added as a mod,

I’m not scared. There is no danger on my part from stupid ass decisions like this.

I’m stating that it is a terrible idea to allow people to become mods when they:

            • Claimed people are trolls simply for disagreeing

            • Shown complete disregard for facts

            • Insult people

it’s almost certainly because you’re scared that you might get punished for your crap

Pointing out the facts isn’t crap.

Yes. Not sure if you have ever worked in cyber for law enforcement but that is what they would determine if the data has been manipulated. Anything that is questionable would be kicked out and anything that can’t be disputed would stay.

The real question is there anything criminal on the laptop? That is up for debate.

                  https://www.vox.com/22992772/hunter-biden-laptop

In April 2019, someone dropped off three water-damaged laptops with him for repair, Mac Isaac claimed. He couldn’t say for sure who dropped them off, because he is legally blind, but he said the person identified himself as Hunter Biden…

No one ever returned to pick up the laptops, so Mac Isaac (an enthusiastic Trump supporter) started looking at what’s on one of them. He saw what he thought was lots of scandalous material…

per the New York Times, one reporter refused to put his name on the story due to credibility concerns…

Even though the story of the abandoned laptop is bizarre, speculation that there’s more to it remains just speculation.

There were two supposed “smoking guns” about Joe Biden that conservatives touted in the materials. The first was an email the Post called a “blockbuster,” in which an executive at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma thanked Hunter for the “opportunity to meet your father” in 2015. … This appears to amount to Vice President Biden seemingly going to one dinner.

The second involved a business venture that Hunter tried to set up with a Chinese energy tycoon in 2017 (after Joe Biden was no longer vice president)…

So this amounts to Joe Biden apparently refusing some deal Hunter tried to enmesh him in. An alternative possibility is that Joe was not actually ever involved and that Hunter had just been throwing his name around.

All of this was indeed covered in the press in October 2020… So the real objection from conservatives is that they didn’t get the narrative they liked out of the mainstream media.

Which mod deleted the article post about the guy that lied about all the hunter evidence?

You guys just straight up deleting stories because it doesn’t fit your narrative? Rule 2 says all sources are acceptable. That post has Fox News as a source.

This guy argued for five hours the other day about how no one involved with trying to pin something on Hunter Biden had a connect with Russia.

Lo and behold the guy with all the evidence not only made it all up, but he’s also a Russian asset!

Mod asking for proof instantly deletes stories about the proof. Lol

Things I am in favour of conserving:

    The environment
    Multigenerational family structures
    Indigenous sovereignty
    Oral traditions
    Unions
    Technological progress
    Trans rights
    Historical records
    Mythologies and religions
    Pagan traditions
    The Palestinian people
    Ukraine
    Civil rights advances
    Abandonware and lost media
    Indigenous holy sites
    Native species

I want to conserve lots of stuff. Am I a conservative?

conservative is about traditional values and personal liberty. Most of what you list would fit squarely into conservative philosophy.

Abandonware though does not fall into politics. I am a big fan of keeping historical technology around. I may be showing my age but I miss a lot of the software from my youth.

Oh, abandonware is political. The software is lost because distribution rights lied solely with the copyright holder. The abandonware we still have available for distribution today is what was pirated. Obviously, copyright is antithetical to software preservation.

A capitalist argument on the subject of software copyright goes “the right to distribute software is owned by a company or a businessman because they invested in that software. They have the right to control what they own. If they decide the software is no longer available for distribution, it should be lost.”

But a communist argument on the subject of software says “the means of producing wealth by distributing software should belong to everyone. The people should seize software distribution for themselves and use it for the common good. Pirate software to preserve it, it shouldn’t matter that a corporation doesn’t want to sell it anymore.”

As a communist, I believe in the conservative approach to software copyright.

I am in the middle. I believe a company should be able to make money on its software until they abandon it. Once they abandon the software, it should be free to use.

I hate to see technology go away just because someone stopped selling it.

Same with movies, TV shows, etc.

Well in the old days we would all have copies of the disk to spread around. I still have hundreds of floppies for C64 software. I still have 3.5 for my Amiga.

We could push for a law that makes it open source after a certain period of time or make copyrights only useful while it’s being used.

The problem is there is so much on the backend nowadays. I used to play star wars galaxies which was mainly run on the backend. Even pirates can only pirate the front end.

I started to play as a way to keep up with friends when I moved away. We use to play and chat till the early morning on the weekends.

Yeah I think that the white monarchist government of my country is illegitimate and that ownership of the land should be returned to the indigenous people. If the white people don’t like it they can go back to England

Also since the government is illegitimate, cops are actually occupying soldiers and killing them is ethically A-okay.
