WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE BILLIONAIRES?
Let them drive submersibles.
The thoughts I think about billionaires are not what they want people thinking.
Decency and progress are ours once more
Now that we have the neutron bomb
Its quick and clean and gets things done
Away with excess enemy
But no less value to property
No sense in war except for perfect sense at home…
Kill kill kill the poor
After trickle-down economics, it should triple your money
Oh no! Anyway…
Maybe they could all try a submersible? Nice and compact, doesn’t take up much space, will kill them, etc
As much as I enjoy the billionaire tears, I wish the article went into more detail about why Naples banned them in the first place.
The billionaire tears are so refreshing to drink from this article yes…quite a fine vintage.
I suspect the “reasons” are never going to be discussed; probably to prevent the same billionaires from money-ing their way out of this as well. Fortunately in countries like that; the Harbormaster’s word IS LAW.
I suspect they simply don’t want these sorts of luxury yachts clogging up the ports anyways and would rather that they anchor at a nearby port that is better equipped for them and use their smaller craft to visit Naples.
I could see how large yachts captained by assholes working for billionaires could be a safety hazard if they don’t behave professionally or ethically in port or manage the expectations of an immature yacht owner.
Yeah, all I got was something about security reasons & some fan almost drowned swimming out to Leonardo’s boat to say hi?! Personally I’d say good riddence BUT I would say the local economy might take a hit?
Those sociopaths have weighed down this sorry planet for far too long.
This is why so many folks are Team Orca.
Sheesh, everyone acts like this will be the end of life for the billionaires.
Nah, they won’t notice a thing. They will just fly their local helicopter from their yacht over to the local airport.
Or, they will dock off-shore, and just take one of the MANY boats inside of their yacht to shore. Seriously- lots of the mega yachts have a internal boat dry dock.
Those mega yachts are no joke. I’d recommend watching a few youtube videos giving tours of them… it’s pretty insane.
I don’t even wanna watch. It’s too depressing
I watch them to understand and learn about some of the engineering that goes into them.
Power systems, hydraulic systems, redundant propulsion systems, etc. The engineering can be quite fascinating.
They’ll probably just anchor off the Amalfi coast just south of Naples where it’s yacht-central. Seriously, it’s straight out of a James Bond movie or something. The amount of rich people hanging out on boats just offshore and in little secluded private beaches is overwhelming. I bused through it once years ago (didn’t stay there: too rich for me) and was just amazed at the scenery and wealth on display. Gorgeous place. Poor people not welcome.
Let me break out my tiny violin.
What never being told “no” all your life does to a mf.
Is it wrong that I’m happy when billionaires are disappointed?
Send in the orca’s.
In solidarity with Naples’ economic losses, we must force every port to ban super yachts. Apart from Blackpool, which needs the cash.
It’s probably so they can fit another cruise ship in the harbor. I can’t imagine even a billionaire outspending thousands of tourists.
tf? You mean to tell me that there’s something billies can’t money their way out of? I’m temporarily impressed, right up until they do that, too.
You guys are all joking but this totally ruins my plans for if I won multiple lotteries.
Interesting that you’d have to win a life-altering amount of money once a month for probably decades to be able to afford one of these should tell us everything we need to know about the obscene levels of wealth we are talking about here. I believe people should be able to be rich. Even incredibly rich. But billionaires shouldn’t exist. Not one of those fortunes is unstained by blood. Not that every last one of them is evil or anything, but that accumulation of wealth is an evil thing.
