How many of you guys wear your AW 24/7? I’ve been only wearing it as a watch. Not really even working out in it since I have Whoop but I’m interested in utilizing more of the features such as HRV, V2O, etc. but I feel like I will have to wear it 24/7. I usually only wear my AW only during work.
I wear it anytime I’m not at home (work/gym/errands), mostly so I can keep my phone in my bag. I don’t wear it around the house unless I’m on the treadmill and I tried wearing it to sleep to track it but it was too uncomfortable lol
Only during the Day (7am - 10pm). I hate the Feeling of a Watch on my Wrist while Sleeping. It also helps with only needing to charge my Ultra once a Week.
I might start wearing it all day except sleep
I wish I could, but I develop an allergic reaction to the watch if I do.
My apple watch’s batter wont let me
24/7 for me. If you got into settings and turn on Afib on your watch it takes more HRV readings. I have a band which can go on my wrist but also adjust to wear higher up my arm. So if I want to wear my fancy watch I just have the watch at the top of my forearm under a shirt.
I’ve been collecting HR data since Series 0
Yep. But I usually switch to my garmin for training. Then back to Ultra.
Do you like your garmin better for training? I was thinking about switching over to Garmin once
I love both watches. But for training Garmin ( mine Tactix 7 pro )is always my choise. Bigger screen, better app and algorithms. Offline gps whitout any need to purchase or subscription. Touch screen is very poor while training outdoors. While swimming ultra has very poor gps and water lock makes very complicated to switch data pages and commands. Battery life has no comparison. MIL display is not so cool but you can train and hiking for very long time. Otherwise Ultra is very cool for everyday use. Looks good at booth work and formal event and oblivious in spare time. Is good if you have a recreative running or some Kind of sport. Also you can switch an infinite numbers of wrist band. It’s also smaller and much light than my garmin. I think for me habit is a factor. I’d start training many years ago with garmin and switch to ultra is very difficult.
Wear an Ultra for 23 hours/day and have a backup 8 SS that I wear when the Ultra is charging. Probably overkill, but I’m fine with that.
Yes. Charge it while driving
Well, with how power hungry my AW8 is, it’s more like 22.5/7.
If there was a way to charge it realistically without having to take it off then it’d probably never come off
I don’t wear mine when I’m at home but a lot of that was from my prior AW 4 with sport band being uncomfortable for me to wear for extended periods of time which I’m trying to change since the Milanese loop on my new watch is much more comfortable.
Yea, only take it off for cleaning and charging.
On the AW Series 8, I pretty much only wore it at work, then let it charge back up, and would use it to track sleep.
Now that I have the Ultra 2, I can actually go over a day without taking it off, thanks to the better battery life. So the only times I take the watch off are for charging and taking a shower.
I don’t wear it to sleep.
Sleep tracking is 1/3 the reason I bought it. I hope you sleep well.
I use it for the silent alarm clock feature.
I originally bought it with sleep tracking in mind but got a handle on my sleep quality and now it just charges while I sleep.
The wrist alarm vibration is way less jarring than a loud siren going off. Way less traumatic way to wake up.
Nope. Wear it during the day. At night it’s charging & I wear an oura ring for sleep tracking.
