I wish there was a speaker volume limiter. Because I accidentally pushed the volume to the max, the speaker was blown again. And it wasn’t even loud music, just the intro music of a game. The speakers are not made to handle max volume, but there is also no option to limit the max volume. There is only an option for headphones, but why not also for the internal speakers? It’s not that difficult to add it.
In my years of using the iPhone since the original iPhone launch, I’ve never once blown the speaker.
Same, or any mobile phone.
I’m pretty sure the audio designers thought of that exact thing first and foremost
Send your phone to Apple, they replaced mine (Europe) cause this is a massive quality control issue, if you check the forums it has been reported previously. I even checked the store models, all had the same problem, from normal Iphone 15 to the Max Pro.
Test your phone with this song https://youtu.be/G5xSLbYMr-I?si=r0U_wDIhrG39ZlIi 1st 10 seconds it will rattle like crazy.
I have this issue on my pro max. Have the replacement solved your issue? It is so annoying! I am considering getting it replaced, but it is such a pain to do so and receive a faulty unit too after replacement.
I’ll get the phone back in the evening and I’ll meet you know as soon as possible.
Had to wait for almost a month for the speaker repair part to arrive.
Some proof from the Estonian authorized Apple store seller (Valge Klaar)
This is not supposed to happen. It should be functional even at max volume
I’ve owned iPhones since the beginning, I’ve never had that problem. If its happened to you 3 times it’s almost certainly something you’re doing to break them
Been using iPhones since 2010… I.e 13 years … never once had this problem.
Send us a video of how the phone sounds
This is a “you” problem, not an “iPhone” problem.
I’ve found that when the speaker holes get filled up with crud, it can cause the speakers to sound like they are blown. Have you checked your speaker holes are clear?
Well, there are some dirt, but the holes are not covered. I’ll try to clean it later.
I blast death metal at max volume on my iPhone every day and I’ve never had a speaker blow out. They tune the volume controls so this doesn’t happen so I’m not sure what you’re doing to cause this but it has to be you if this is the third time.
Maybe because I play a mobile game and the intro sound starts with a very loud sound. It was so loud the sound is distorted. I am not lying because Apple replaced my phone once and fixed the speaker another time.
So why the hell do you continue to play this game knowing full well that the intro has this abnormally loud sound that is damaging the speaker? This type of thing should be reported. What game are you even playing that does something like this?
Because I usually turn the volume down, but accidentally press the volume up bottom. If it’s true that the volume can’t hurt the speaker, then it shouldn’t matter.
That’s not normal app behavior. What game is it?
