I’m using m2 macbook air. I suddenly got caught in the rain. And,a little water leaked into my backpack. It only soaked the magsafe3 and usb ports.Because the laptop is vertically positioned. Now the USB ports and charging port are working fine and there is no problem on the screen, do I need to do anything?

Don’t use it. Ideally open it and disconnect the battery and leave it to dry.

I don’t know why people let their laptops get wet and then turn them on. It’s wet, what do you think is going to happen other than a short circuit? Does it even need a question asking…

Don’t use it until it’s fully dried out. If you wanna be safe. If there’s still water it can move around and get somewhere you don’t want it to.

Never use rice. It practically does not do anything, except maybe attract an Asian who could ultimately fix your device. Old wives’ tale, like somebody said.

No never do that under any circumstances. The only thing rice does is corrode the board and destroy the laptop.

Rice can absorb humidity in the air or water that its submersed in, its not strong enough to “suck”.
