So I’m past 30yo and today I tried to get back into dating. I’ve joined a discord and most of them are around the age of 20. It feels alien too me to have so many short (1 to 5 words) sentences followed by cat gifs. Not sure if I can do this. I need deeper meaning and longer sentences. :(

Your username is “send me nude girls” , and you’re talking about socializing for dating purposes on discord. You might be approaching this on hard mode.

Might I suggest going out in person? Meetups, bars, shared activities, heck even tinder.

My username is more of a joke than anything. I get the first impression vibes though.

You’re right about finding outside activities, I need something to build my self worth.

I’d recommend you filter by age, and don’t date anyone younger than 25 if you are actually looking for a relationship.

Discord is tricky because most of it is filled with teens. If you specifically search for 21+, 25+, 30+, etc. communities, you’ll have a much saner time in my experience. They do exist out there, but I don’t know how many are dating focused.

That’s fair. I feel like mostly I specifically find 18+ and 21+ communities anyway. Since I don’t want teens, 21+ is what I tend to shoot for and there are still a fair amount of them.

Although I’ve stumbled into 25+ servers before. These are the most preferable to me because by that point most people are out of school so they are more relatable.

It’s alright, making small progress on a personal project. My feet are cold though, and it’s supposed to be full spring here yet we’re having cold damp days.

It’s entertaining enough, although sometimes I get bored when I hit a knowledge gap and have to figure out how to do stuff. I’m making a realistic creature in blender, and I’m somewhat new to blender.

Knowing how hard it is to even create something small in blender that seems like a reach to get to straight away. I would more suggest smaller projects like designing little objects in your day to day life and see how well you can recreate them before hoping into something like a full realistic creature.

That makes sense, but I have a fair amount of experience with maya an unreal so it’s just the blender how-tos stopping me occasionally. It is time consuming though, there’s no way around that no matter which software I choose.

My old laptop can only do basic browsing, not quite as bad as a chrome book but slowing over the past 2 year, my new one is a gaming one and will allow me to create video edits easily, also is loads better than my Desktop that I do most things on, including edits at the moment. (The new one has a 3050 in it)
