Daniel Rodriguez, the man who attacked then-Washington, DC, police officer Michael Fanone with an electroshock weapon in the neck during the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, was sentenced Wednesday to 12 and a half years in prison.

Fanone said he was beaten with a flagpole in addition to being tased several times in the neck and heard people in the mob saying they should “kill him with his own gun.” Several people tried to pull his weapon from its holster, according to Fanone, who said he begged the mob to spare him, telling them, “I have kids.”

Reading this part gave me chills, that must have been horrifying for the officer to experience.

Dude calls himself an American supremacist, what a fuckin chode lol.

“As Rodriguez exited the courtroom Wednesday, he defiantly shouted that “Trump won!” repeating the same lie that ultimately culminated in the Capitol attack.”

The delusion is strong with this one haha, tell it to your cellmate.

Hopefully 12 years is enough to allow him to rethink his stupidity or at least disable him as a threat.

Meanwhile he will just wait for the Pardon he thinks he will get if trump or one of the other crazy Republican nominees win.

Little does he realize whoever wins isn’t going to pardon any of them. It just sounds good for votes. And once they are out? Republican don’t care about them again because they don’t want felons to be able to vote.

I’m a big fan of second chances as I’ve needed it myself, hopefully he feels remorse at some point and can reach out and make ammends to his victim and lead a productive life… I doubt it judging by the comments he made leaving the courtroom, but still I’m right there with you I hope it happens.
