In this video we show you one example of how repair cost are out of control on modern vehicles nowadays. It is definitely something to consider when purchasing a new vehicle.
Aren’t those the taillights that tell you how loaded your truck is?
There’s tons of technology going into every part of a modern car. That’s why repair costs are going up.
The F-150 smart taillights, or taillamps, have a feature that’s similar to the battery charge indicator of a smartphone. With LED lights on a built-in vertical bar, it displays the payload capacity percentage of the F-150.
Damn, did the car designer play Death Stranding?
I mean anything is possible. It wouldn’t be the first time media inspired technology.
It is technology that almost no one is asking for and few are using. Especially if they had an idea of how much this mostly useless tech was adding to the cost of modern vehicles.
technology that almost no one is asking for and few are using
Some farmers revolted a few years ago when tractor manufacturers did more or less the same thing.
I mean, lots of innovation are things no one is asking for and you have no idea if people find this useful for not.
It will take several years for enough to hit the used parts market that the price drops. Ford will then change the design for… progress.
No one makes an OEM taillight without the bed weight tech??? Wow.
Just poor design.
Poor design for consumers.
Great design for maximizing profit.
