Because having access through ps plus means you dont “own” the game.
I think that’s could be the reason behind it. If you upgrade then let your subscription lapse, you can argue that you can’t play a game you paid for.
But then again, you can’t play an expansion if you don’t have the base game, and you can’t complain about that. So, no idea…
I agree with the statement in the article that I think they are making a mistake. I feel like the majority of people probably feel the same way as well. There’s no way I am buying this for $50+, but if the upgrade was open to me for $10? I actually would have considered it.
