Summary

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised tests of “suicide drones” and ordered their mass production, emphasizing the need for these low-cost, explosive-carrying UAVs in modern military strategy.

The drones, developed by North Korea’s Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex, successfully targeted both land and sea objectives.

The push for drone production comes amid North Korea’s growing military cooperation with Russia, and parallels the global rise of drones in conflicts like those in Ukraine and the Middle East. Kim aims to integrate these drones into North Korea’s broader military capabilities.

While I don’t think that what you’re saying is by any means implausible, there is an actual difference here. All rockets and missiles destroy themselves in the process of attacking a target. Not all drones do. A lot of them have a simple mechanism that drops a grenade or similar

Even those guys are getting some understanding of modern warfare, wow.

BTW, I know that shouldn’t be too public, but are NATO countries doing this? Because Hollywood movies are good and all, but this is the revolution that has already happened, like tercios. I mean cheap mass-produced drones. One can talk quality-over-quantity all one wants, but there’s no way one wins against a well-organized equal force possessing those in good numbers. And level of organization is something hard to predict and developed by experience, so hoping for Russia and NK and China and who not remaining clumsy would not be wise.

Nato has had advanced drone capabilities for a long time now, but was mainly focused on stealth and reusability rather than mass production. I know drone swarms to accompany stealth fighters and navy ships have been in development for some years now, but the mass use of disposable drones is not something there was a real need for. But I have no doubt that modern infantry training will start including drone usage and tactics, if that isn’t the case already.

Shit he’s got a big forehead under that hair. Someone’s combing over to hide the loss.
